What makes Athena so amazing? Well, let me tell you…

From the moment we had our first consultation with Athena (9 months prior to our wedding), she was organized, positive, and reliable. We had unlimited phone call, text, and email contact with Athena, but more importantly, she always responded right away or at least replied to acknowledge my message and reassure me she would thoroughly address my update/question as soon as possible. There were actually a few times that something urgent needed to be taken care of, and without hesitation Athena paused what she was doing and immediately tended to my needs.

Having planned and coordinated a variety of events over the past ten years, I decided to be the “planner” for my wedding. Many of the events I have done are annual events, so I always had a chance to evaluate and improve the next year. In contrast, my wedding was a one-time-only event, so I put extra pressure on myself to make sure everything was planned as “perfect” as could be. When the time came to literally hand everything (guest list, floorplans, decorations, etc.) over to Athena, I had complete faith that she would execute all my plans and be able to problem solve any issues that arose on the day of. She did not disappoint! My parents, family, and friends got to actually enjoy my wedding day as guests because Athena worked with our vendors and assistants to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible.

Athena, thank you thank you THANK YOU for e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g! We can never thank you enough for all you did to make our wedding day one we will forever remember. So happy that Julie got some photos of you doing your thing throughout the day. You were running around keeping track of every detail even if we didn’t notice at the time. We are so grateful!

Our wedding on June 8, 2019 couldn't have been more perfect and put together without Athena and the help of Chad! She went above and beyond contacting all my vendors months before my wedding all the way up to the day of my wedding. Even through my episodes of nervousness and stress she managed to find a way to calm me down and take care of everything. My wedding consisted of a lot of DIY decorations and I was worried that it would be too overwhelming to decorate but Athena and her assistant Chad made it look effortless and breathtaking!!

The day of my wedding Chad escorted me on the golf cart to the ceremony site, and nervous me forgot my bouquet back at the bridal suite! As I got out of the golf cart I started panicking and all guests were watching me as I told Chad that I forgot my bouquet and he assuringly told me everything was going to be fine that he would race on over to the bridal suite and bring my bouquet, while Athena told me to keep calm and act as if everything was fine while I played it off cool waiting for Chad! It wasn't even a minute that Chad was able to bring my bouquet over so quick as Athena handed it over to me as if I was the Queen for the day being escorted the whole way !! At the end of our wedding night Athena and Chad managed to put away all of my DIY decor and lawn games with no trouble and I remember there wasn't much light outside for them to see and they didn't complain one bit, they handled everything like a BOSS Athena was not only organized, efficient, and professional she also felt like a great friend and family even with her kind and comforting attitude the whole way!!

I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day-of-coordinator and a better assistant, SERIOUSLY!!! I highly recommend Athena as your day-of-coordinator and I can imagine she'd be a 100 times better as your wedding planner!! We stumbled across Athena who was a close childhood friend of mine at the most perfect time. I immediately contacted her since we had such a short engagement. We needed someone who we could trust and depend on in such a short time. After our first sit down meeting I knew instantly she was going to be essential for our big day. By no surprise she outdid herself on many occasions. I may or may not be the easiest bride to work with… whether it’s my last minute personality or my random spurts of dementia lol. Regardless, she managed to stay organized with outlines, tables, and check lists. Communicating with her was never a problem. Anytime I needed her she became available so quickly and I appreciate that. On the day of the wedding, Athena was so easy going and kind towards my family, friends, vendors, etc. (Which meant a lot) at the same time she kept everyone in line and made sure everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be. Athena made sure our rehearsal and wedding day went off flawlessly! She was professional, energetic, always on time, and happy to help in any way possible throughout the entire planning process. In our meetings leading up to the wedding day, Athena brought up details I never would have thought of myself and made sure they were taken care of. She is incredibly responsive to emails and always got back to me in an impressively timely manner. Typically, I am a huge stress ball, but I can honestly say I did not feel an ounce of stress on my wedding day and I owe that entirely to Athena! We reached out to Athena to support us with planning for our Engagement Party. We are beyond grateful for the time and effort Athena put forth to help us bring our loved ones together to celebrate. To preface, my fiancé and I grew up in Washington State, but have been residing in New York City for the past 3 years. Being on the other side of the country, it was important to us that we had someone we could trust to coordinate all the logistics in Washington.

We connected with Athena at the beginning of December, giving her a quick turnaround time of approximately 3 weeks (Let’s not forget that the holidays are also this month, which could present challenges in itself!). Despite the given circumstances, Athena made sure that we were taken care of. She helped us with finding a venue, decorations, food, and day of coordination.

Venue: My fiancé and I wanted something relatively simple and decided on a laid back get together at a brewery. Athena created a detailed spreadsheet of local breweries in Seattle. It encompassed everything we needed to know; from location, to hours of operation, cost, down to the last communication Athena had with the venue. We could see it all! Once we decided on a venue, Athena sent us frequent updates on her communication with the venue every step of the way. This level of transparency kept us at ease knowing that Athena was on top of it.

Decorations: We gave Athena free rein with decorations. Admittedly, I do not have an eye for that kind of stuff so I essentially sent her my Pinterest board of all things I thought would be nice. Athena sent clarifying questions to ensure that she captured everything I wanted and liked. When the day came, I was pleased with the décor! It was simple, minimalistic, and Athena was truly able to capture our desired vibe/focus of bringing together close friends and family, with easy accessibility to some good tasting beer of course!

Food: Athena also took care of all food related things for us. Honestly, this took SO MUCH off our plate and it was another element we really did not have to think about. On the actual day of the engagement party, she enlisted her boyfriend Chad to help pick up the food as well! They are quite the dynamic duo!

Day-Of Coordination: We did not have to do a thing on the day of our engagement party. All pieces came together, and we could truly focus on being with our loved ones. She took care of set up, food, decorations, made sure guests were happy, and took care of clean-up. All in all, it was a success and we could not have done it without Athena’s attention to detail and expertise! ATHENA, THANK YOU!!!

If you’re looking for a wedding coordinator, look no further. If you’re trying to decide if you need one, let this be a sign. Athena is a godsend!!! I was that person who couldn’t decide if I really needed or wanted to spend the money on a day of coordinator. I spoke with my best friend who was also in the midst of planning her wedding and she recommended I talk to Athena. I’m so thankful I did. “Wow, I couldn't have been more satisfied with the service that Athena has provided. My husband and I are two very busy and young professionals. Between our jobs and running a business, we hardly had anytime to rest, let alone plan a wedding. We had one month’s engagement and thank goodness we had Athena who helped us from the beginning to the very end of the wedding. “Athena is an absolute DREAM to work with. With LESS THAN 2 weeks notice, Athena was able to meet with me, refine my timeline, meet with my Event Manager, walk through the venue with me, communicate with my vendors (Dj, decorator, photographer, videographer, etc) - all while dealing with me having to deal with other aspects of my wedding. She took so much stress off of mine and my husbands shoulders; we couldn't be more thankful. All throughout the night I had friends, family, and even caterers approaching me about how smoothly everything went. One of the best moments of the night was entering my venue, going in the first dance and seeing our bridal party, arms wrapped around each other other all around us. This was a moment Athena had come up with and was a delightful surprise. The love and energy we felt at that moment really set the tone for the amazing night ahead of us. Athena was always checking up on us, making sure we were okay and made sure our night was on track.

Meeting with Athena after the wedding, I had come to find the our wedding actually had 2 major hiccups! 1) Two of my husband's family members were not included on the seating chart. Naturally, my Mother-In-Law was in a near panic mode since the two members were not pleased and a little offended by that happening. Athena quickly stepped in and eased the situation. She graciously gave up her seat and found another open one and gave it to the two and had them move in closer with the rest of the family. 2) MY CAKE DIDN'T ARRIVE ON TIME!! There was some misunderstanding with the Baker that my cake was never delivered. Luckily, Athena was able to partner with my Mother-in-Law and have a family member drive to the bakery to pick up the cake. When the cake finally came Athena placed it, put the topper on and ran outside to start the bridal party entrance!

Athena is able to handle these two extremely stressful situations with ease and was able to do it without me or my husband finding out. Mine and my husbands night was so carefree and fun. We were able to fully trust Athena with our big day and she did not disappoint at all.
